Marine Breeding Events

There are various events throughout the year that are of interest to breeders. I'll try to keep an updated list here.

The biggest event of the year for marine ornamental breeders is the MBI Workshop held each year in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The MBI Workshop is structured to allow a full day of interaction with the top names in captive breeding as well as other people involved in breeding.

Previous speakers include: Dr. Matthew Wittenrich, Matthew Pedersen, Todd Gardner, Eric Cassiano, Richard Ross, Dan Underwood,  Jay Hemdal, Randy Reed and others. More details can be found here: MBI Workshop

The Fourth Annual Marine Breeder's Workshop will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The Workshop will start at 9am and last until 5pm. The event will include all speakers and lunch. Our current speakers are Chad Clayton, Martin Moe and David Watson.

Supporting the next generation of young aquarists is something I am very happy to do. Check out this wonderful classroom reef project that I'm proud to be a small part of:

This is truely an inspired project headed up by Brandon Rutherford for his third grade class at Garden Hills Elementarty in Illinois. The project needs your support to continue so check them out and offer your support if you can.
